Public primary schools in Cameroon are fee-free, yet most parents are unable to afford the school needs of their children. It is common to find children of school going age around living besides the school but still not able to attend because they don’t have books, uniforms, and other school needs.
This brought our team (Needful Children) to pay a visit to one of such schools, Government English Primary School (GEPS) Bonassama Douala where we identified so many vulnerable children of school going age who couldn’t attend classes because of lack of study materials.
With the help of our donors, we were able to give them study materials like exercise and text books, school bags, uniforms, and shoes.
Needful children handed all the above mentioned materials to those identified through the help of the head teacher.
These children who never used to attend all their lessons in a year because of these difficulties will now pursue their education hinch free.
Needful Children will always do its best to make sure that more children of school going age acquire quality education. With the help of our donors, we will ensure that no child should go to the street, but to the class.
